Mini-Institutes

March 3rd and 4th, 2017

The Mini-Institute highlights The HOT Approach as a reliable keystone for employing instructional practice that cultivates critical, creative and innovative thinkers, inspires and motivates educators, and sparks the joy in teaching and learning. It is a 2-3 day residential conference that introduces new material, explores the intersection between new state or federal recommendations and HOT Schools Practice, targets specific constituents’ professional development needs and/or reinforces specific content from the HOT Schools Summer Institute.

HOT Schools Quote

"Teachable moments are simple, natural moments when learned insecurities subside and the deeper, knowledgeable part of us emerges. In these moments, connected to our bigger mind and larger self, we are open like we were at first, before we learned to believe that learning, loving, growing and changing were hard.”
